Kaspersky has launched Pure 2.0 version for home users which comes with password security features, secure vaults, encryption capabilities and parental control features. It uses cloud technologies and proactive protection methods to address complicated threats and provides updated features from its previous versions.
This version provides an isolated virtual environment to launch suspicious programmes and visit unknown websites to test them before actually opening them on your computer. It consists of a feature called System Watcher and closely monitors the behavior of programmes running on the system. Company sources said “If a programme performs a malicious action, System Watcher shuts it down and changes it has made to the system are rolled back. It flags links to infect or fraudulent (phishing) resources using a colour indicator within search engine results.”
Kaspersky is one of the fastest growing IT security providers in the world and it is amongst the top four leading anti-virus vendors. According to company sources, the company’s global revenue grew by 14 per cent compared to the previous year. The revenue is expected to be nearly 612 million dollars. The company is based in Moscow and operates in nearly 200 countries worldwide. This year the company completes 15 years in the industry. According to company officials, more than 300 million people worldwide are protected by Kaspersky products. Its corporate client base is said to be more than 200000 companies ranging from small and medium sized businesses to large commercial organizations.
On-line security is of utmost importance in these days. This is because people have started using the Internet for making payments for their regular bills and other expenses. If the systems are not protected with anti virus, then there is a big threat of the credit cards being misused by hackers and other elements. Apart from this, there is also a threat of malware infecting the system.
